About

La Chambre Magique was born from the disappointment of two friends who were looking for a creative scene that offered more than was available elsewhere at the time. The concept of La Chambre Magique originated through the creation of Magick Room in a Somerset farmhouse.

This room was symbolically arranged to include the four elements of the Magick circle – fire, water, air and earth. When translated into a night club, these elements represent the qualities that make for a complete party experience. La Chambre Magique is a "room" where the people present, unite in joyous embrace with their divine selves through the process of dance.

The first event and prelude to the subsequent cycle of LCM club nights took place on Nov 17th 2001 at the old Marina Pavilion. Although the attendance was not as expected, there was enough enthusiasm generated from the night, to commit to the cycle of monthly events that would go on to fill the venue to capacity and turn it into a profit generating venture.

The Pavilion closed its doors in Nov 2003, leaving LCM and it's thousands of followers without a home.

A one off private members night followed at 14 Claremont with the hope of a smaller but full time venue to operate from. A new nightclub licence application for the venue was unsuccessful and LCM entered a dormant period, until the end of that year when a very exclusive private party was held at the large Old School on priory road. Weeks of preparation transformed the building into an amazing club environment that housed one of the best Chambre nights to date.

In 2004 LCM moved onto Hastings Pier and took up monthly nights at the newly refurbished Pier Pressure Club. A year later the Pier was closed by Hastings Council and LCM moved into Hastings Old Town and once more, generated monthly nights at the new Venue M. The following year saw the venue lose its late licence and LCM was once more without a home.

In Dec 2007 LCM held a one off independent "regeneration "event at the town centre venue - The Crypt. With the success of the night came the knowledge that wherever La Chambre Magique holds its events, they are the busiest nights for the venue in question! La Chambre Magique had firmly established itself to be the most popular event of its kind, in Hastings and the surrounding area.

2008 sees the reopening of the Marina Pavilion and the return of La Chambre Magique to its birth place.
